Palm posted there new Palm Pixi commercial on their Facebook Page today and I have to say it’s MUCh MUCH MUCHHHHHHH better than the old commercials.
The song could use a little change though.
Wal-mart is also now letting people preorder the Pixi online for $30.00, if this doesn’t make you want to chuck your iPhone out the window and flock to WebOS, what will?
In other Pixilicious news, the phone will be coming with WebOS 1.2.9 but will offer update 1.3.1 a couple hours after activation.
What do you hope for in WebOS 1.3.1, what are the chances that it’ll get iTunes sync back (well duhhhhhh it will).
The new DSi (DSi LL in Japan, XL in Europe and America) that was rumored to be coming out will release November 21. It’ll have 4.2 inch screens diagonally.
DSi XL compared to DSi:
The new DSi will have a large pen which will probably be hard to lose, unlike Nintendo’s old stylus.
It’ll also have 4/5- 13/17 hours of energy (4-5 on highest brightness, 13-17 on lowest).
The DSi XL will come in three colors, black, white, and wine red.
No news as to if it’s coming to the US yet.
There’s a rumor circulating that the Wii will soon get Netflix. Considering it was just recently announced that the PS3 will get Netflix next month it seems very likely that this could happen. Some are saying that it will be released along with the “Wii HD” and others say it will come out as early as December.
Since the PSP has Skype, why not? On Friday Nintendo accidentally released a statement on a support page that several media outlets spotted. It said “To redeem a Nintendo DSi Download Ticket number, such as for the Nintendo DSi Speak Channel, enter the number off the Nintendo DSi Download Ticket in ‘Settings and Features’ off of the main Nintendo DSi Shop page, then select ‘Nintendo DSi Download Ticket.”
This may have been on purpose, considering they got lots of free press.
As to the bigger screens, Nikkei new service has said that there may be a new DS released as early as 2009 later this year. It should be announced soon. They also said the screens should be between the sizes of the PSP-3000 and the PSP-Go (4.3 and 3.8 inches).
Today Palm released more information about the Palm Pixi. Not only is it coming out next month but it’ll be 99 dollars (after a 50 dollar instant rebate and a 100 dollar mail-in rebate of course). It’ll be coming out smack dab in the middle of next month, the 15th of November. The Touchstone back will be $20.
If you ask me, for a phone without Wi-Fi Capabilities or any of that it should be at most $75, especially if they want to compete with the iPhone 3G.
I’ve never seen a better Thursday for Windows, not only has Windows 7 been released but a Windows Cafe in Paris and a Windows Store in Arizona opened today!
The first 4 people in line to the new Windows Store each got brand new Zune HD’s.
Check out The Line, The Grand Opening, and the inside of the Windows Store after the break
